About the Journal

The Journal of Fluids Engineering disseminates technical information in fluid mechanics of interest to researchers and designers in mechanical engineering and other engineering disciplines. The majority of papers are full length research articles that present original results of lasting scientific value. The journal also publishes technical briefs, review articles, and letters of archival significance. Contributions to the journal emphasize advances with investigative techniques, including new developments in analytical, computational, and experimental methods, and physical interpretation of results to enhance knowledge and understanding of complex flow phenomena in engineered systems and processes.

Scope: Aerodynamics; Boundary layers; Bubbly flows; Cavitation; Compressible flows; Compressors; Convective heat and mass transfer affected by fluid flow; Duct and pipe flows; Free shear layers; Flows in biological systems; Fluid-structure interaction; Fluid transients and wave motion; Hydrodynamics; Jets; Microfluidics; Multiphase flows; Pumps; Sprays; Stability and transition; Turbines; Turbulence; Wakes; Other fundamental/applied fluid phenomena and processes

Diversity and Inclusion The Technical Committee on Publications and Communications endorses the commitment of ASME to support diversity and to create and ensure inclusive and ethical practices for publishing as well as the science and engineering professions.
